"Alien Alliance"

Films: La nave de los monstrous (1960)

Alias: Prince Tagual, Uk, Utirr, Zok

Type: Alien

Location: Eldritch Location/Cave/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Mostly that of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Well, amigos, it looks like Mexico is under fire from an alien invasion. And what an invasion it is, with the remaining Venusians teaming up with a motley crew of bizarre aliens out for themselves and rocking some truly bizarre designs.

History: Gamma and Beta, some of the last people from Venus after the last man died, have come to Earth to find the ideal male of the dominant species, as they have with other planets. They've been gathering males and freezing them alongside their robot, Tor. The ones they have found include Tagual, the belligerent Martian prince, Uk, the cycloptic king of the Fire Planet, Utirr, a gluttonous spider-creature from Mars, and Zok, an arrogant skeleton whose species lost its physical form in an unknown phenomenon. Oh, and Beta is actually a Uranian vampire conspiring with the monsters to take over Mexico, hooking up with Tagual in the process. Unfortunately, her seductive nature causes a divide in the monster team, especially with Tagual and Utirr.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Tagual gets fatally shot in the eye by a slingshot, Uk gets his face burned off by Tor, Utirr is forced into biting and poisoning himself, and Zok sort of disappears midway through the film. Oh, and Beta accidentally impales herself on a stake-shaped branch. Tor gets hitched with a living jukebox, and that's frankly all that matters.

Powers/Abilities: Utirr has a poisonous bite.

Weakness: Tagual's body is incredibly frail. Utirr is also not immune to his own venom.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-The monster's looks range from somewhat imposing (Zok, even if he has to be carried most of the time) to downright ridiculous (Uk). It was clear that they were doing this on a budget, but hey, at least they had fun doing it!

Trivia: -This film was released in the U.S. in 1961.

-Beta and Gamma were played by Ana Bertha Lepe and Lorena Velazquez, and were both crowed as "Senorita Mexico" at some point.
